Eric graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance. A ‘first call’ trumpet for many national and local acts in Minneapolis, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, he has performed world-wide with horn players, from The Tonight Show, Tower of Power, and Maynard Ferguson bands to name a few. In 2003-2005, Eric toured with Bette Midler as lead trumpet player on her three Kiss My Brass tours. He appeared on The Tonight Show, the Ellen Degeneres Show, A&E Biography, and in Rolling Stone magazine, and Entertainment Weekly with Bette. These days Eric keeps busy with writing, arranging, and recording projects, and recently completed his debut jazz CD More. In addition to his successful music career, Eric enjoys a second career as a commercial pilot for Northwest Airlines based in The Twin Cities where he currently resides.

Role in Belladiva: Trumpet Player

Favorite Band or Singer: Earth, Wind, & Fire - my favorite combination of grooving dance music, great horn lines, great lead vocals and harmonies, and a fantastic stage show.  And I got to play with their drummer (Sonny Emory) for three years!

Favorite Belladiva Moment: New Year's Eve into 2009 at the Grand Casino in Hinkley.  Seeing the Belladiva girls on the huge billboard on the side of I-35, then playing to the great crowd that night.  And my brother had his first child that night - born just after Midnight on Jan. 1st.

Wow Fact About You: People seem to be surprised to hear that I am a pilot as well - starting at age 16, and now working for Delta flying internationally on the Boeing 757 and 767.

Career Highlight: Playing lead trumpet for Bette Midler from 2003-2005.  Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Tonight Show, Sydney Australia, private jets, etc... The entire experience was like living in a surreal dream world for me!
